Fireworks and gunfire lead to one injury during the Pink at the Pier event.

Blake Larcen and Maddox “Dox” Murdox caused a panic, first launching fireworks at David Pink and then into the audience during Vaarallinen’s performance. Brett Sewell rushed upon Larcen in an attempt to take him down. Blake however got the upper hand. As Sewell was about receive a crushing blow to the head, Pink armed  himself with a handgun. Sophia Castle, performer and Larcen’s fiancé, struck a blow to the back of Pink’s skull. The resulting impact rendered Pink unconscious. In Pink’s fall, the handgun fired and injured Larson.

Castle recounts the chaotic events of the evening.

“Dox and Blake were rushing the stage with the roman candles and setting them off. Once I saw Blake fire one at David, I rushed to his side, David’s I mean. I tried to help him up, apologizing profusely for what happened. But then I saw Blake and (Sewell) fighting and then David pulled out his gun and pointed it at Blake… I hit him, but the gun fired anyway and Blake was shot. I wanted to help him, but everyone was ordered down on the ground, so I had to stay where I was. Blake was taken away in an ambulance, Dox was taken away in cuffs. and I was told to leave.”

Larcen has a tendency for shenanigans according to Castle.

“Blake is different than most people. He likes a bit of chaos every now and then. I don’t believe he meant to harm anyone, just have a little fun.”

Castle has a few words and creative punishment awaiting Larcen, once he returns from hospital care and police custody.

“I would paint his room bright hot (expletive) pink. That’s a good idea actually. Next time I see him, I don’t know. Probably yell at him about what he and Dox did. I’m also mad at Dox, but those two are very special to me.”

With apologies, Castle hopes to move on from the incident.

“I do apologize and accept responsibility for what happened. I never meant for any of this to occur and I just want everyone to move on.”
